Nashville Half Marathon Update! 2:12:45

My weekend was A-W-E-S-O-M-E!
Friday morning we got up bright and early and drove to Nasvhille, TN. It is about 6 hours from Arkansas, so the drive wasn't too long.
That evening we did some carb loading. Here is a picture of the group:

This is Trish, Bill, Kate, Dawn, and Me!

We all crashed early because to get to the race on time, we had to leave at 5:45. The crummy part is about 3:30 that morning it started pouring down rain. Here are some photos of us before the rain. Notice the trash bags!

This is Bill, Trish, Me, Kate, Dawn and then Lorie and Corinne. They were our cheering section!

Here are few after race photos:

Me, Trish, Kate, Dawn, and Corinne

Dawn, Jess, and Julie-Kissing our medals!

Dawn and I with the Nashville background

Overall, I finished in 2:12:45. I was beyond pleased with my time. I was shooting for 2:05:00, but I will take that time. I came in at 8,445 out of 21,398 half marathon participants.

Later today I'll post the after race pictures! We went down to a club called McFadden's on 2nd Street! We had so much fun! I'll post those once I get them.

Happy Admin Day!

Today is Administrative Professionals Day. While I really don't fit into this category, they always include me in. Last year I got the honor of planning it with about a days notice and things were not great. Someone started it, but I got to finish it up. Needless to say it wasn't up to "my" standards, so this year, I took it upon myself 2 weeks ago to tell them I would be planning it this year. So I decided to book the local Arts Center for lunch and a tour of some of the art exhibits. I am also presenting each women with a gift. Here is what I did. I stamped each ones name on it and then inside we have a cute light blue polo with our companies logo on it. I had been approached by several in the office for a shirt, so they are finally get what they wished for. I hope they are all pleased. This was the finished product:

Exscuse the nasty carpet. We are still stuck in the 70's around here!

Exericse yesterday was a short run of 3 miles with a 1 mile walk included, plus 100 push ups. Let me clarify by saying I don't do those on my toes. I am a wuss and I do them on my knees. I can't take all the glory. Trust me, the 100 aren't getting any easier either.

Today the food should still be on target as usual. We are going to lunch, but I plan on having a salad of some sort.

I just have a few short days until I leave for Nasvhille. I am excited my next half marathon is almost here!

I gotta jet. I have so much going on at work right now...thats the reason I'm posting so late today!

I rocked last night.....

Yesterday I got a call from a friend to sub for a BUNCO party. Well, if you've ever played, you know most Buncos are all about food and fun. I knew it was going to be a challenge. So yesterday after I got home, I only had about 15 min before I had to jump in the car to go. I grabed a quick protein shake and a protein bar. I drank the shake before I left my house and then grabbed a bottled water for the road. When we got to the party the food was SO NOT HEALTHY! She served a chicken/rice dish and a shrimp/rice dish. She also did a side of Veggies. Oh and on top of that, she had homemade BEER bread! So what I did was a I put on my plate one small bite of both of the rice dishes. When I say small I'm talking maybe the size of a half dollar. Then I loaded my plate with the veggies. I had NO beer bread and I drank 3 glasses of water while playing. She did have a few peanuts so I grabed one small handful of those. I refrained from the delicious dessert she had too. One was lemon and the other chocolate (oh my, my downfall). I didn't have any dessert, instead I ate my homemade protein bar and drank my water! The kicker was I won the most Bunco's so I even came home with a little CASH! $$$$$! ChaChing!

So yesterday my food slightly changed from my orginal plan. I also didn't exercise since I got in late from playing Bunco.

However, I did do my 100 push ups. I am making a point to do 100 pushups a day regardless of time. It only takes about 5 min tops to do them. I'm a wuss and I do them on my knees, but my arms are feeling it trust me.

Food for today:
B:2 egg white, 1 egg omelet, canadian bacon, light cheese, tom, orange
S:Hummus/Pita
L:SBD Pizza
S:FF yogurt, raspberries
D:Salad with grilled chicken, light dressing
S:Protein shake

3.2 lbs gone!

Week 1 was a success people! I was down 3.2 lbs to be exact!
My weekend rocked. I ate good all weekend long with no treats or upsets. I stuck to my plan for a solid week and I was down officially 3.2 lbs! I'm one happy little camper!
On to week 2! This week I'll be preparing for my half marathon on Saturday. My food will have more carbs and protein but I'm still trying not to have a splurge until the weekend. I'm sure at some point I'll indulge in a small treat while in Nashville.

Food for Today:
B:2 egg whites, 1 egg, 1 slice canadian bacon, 1 tbsp of 2 % cheese, tomatos, orange
S:FF Yogurt, Raspberries
L:Salad topped with BBQ chicken
S: 1/2 pita, hummus
D: Salad, lean taco meat, light cheese
S:Protein Shake

Exercise: Fast and Furious workout

I hope everyone enjoyed the omelets this weekend. They really are easy and so yummy!

Happy Monday!

Omelet in a Bag!

Several of you asked about this, so I thought I would just post it:

ZIPLOC OMELETS
This works great !!!
Crack 2 eggs into the quart size Ziploc bag shake to combine them.
Put out a variety of ingredients such as: cheeses, ham, onion, green pepper, tomato, hash browns, salsa, etc. Shake it up. Make sure to get the air out of the bag and zip it up. Place the bags into rolling, boiling water for exactly 13 minutes. You can usually cook 6-8 omelets in a large pot. For more, make another pot of boiling water. Cut the bags and the omelet will roll out easily.

I did it this morning and I like doing it because of the mess. When I scramble it at home I have a pot to wash, plus a bowl, etc. With the ziplock method the mess is quick and easy.
They tasted the exact same as scrambled eggs. It is just a preference on how much time you have. For me, I don't have much, so I like this technique a little better!

Good luck and happy omeleting! :)

Friday is here at last!

So I'm working on a project and I needed pictures of me. So this is one the husband took of me last night. I thought I would post it.

Last night I did a walk instead of a run. My legs are tight from the new ST routine and my long run on Wednesday. The walk was good. I just put on my IPOD and took off. I walked a little over 3 miles. Then I came home to do another Fast and Furious Strength Training routine.

Our PNP site is doing a book club. I've never been involved in one before, but I am excited. I love to read, but I don't always have the time for it.
The book selected was Saving Graces by Patricia Gaffney. I started it last night and so far I'm loving it. It is about a group of women called the Saving Graces. I'll let you know what I thought when I'm finished. We aren't reviewing it until May 19, so I have about a month to get it read.

Weekend Plans:
Another Food Prep weekend for me. Not sure our plans though. We thought about going to my nephews baseball game this evening. It may get rained out though. Saturday nothing really and Sunday will be food prep. It looks to be an easy weekend. Maybe I'll get some reading done.

I do have plans to exercise this weekend. Probably both Saturday and Sunday.

Food for Friday:
B:Omelet-2 egg whites, 1 egg, tom, light cheese, Orange
S:Protein Bar
L:Salad, grilled chicken, chick peas, light dressing
S:FF Yogurt, few raspberries
D:Chicken, green beans
S:SF pudding or 1 tsp of PB (not sure yet)

I'm loving this change of food a little. I tried the omelet in the bag trick. I've done it before, but I want to see how it would be if I did it the night before then heated it back up the next morning. Will see. It would be cool to prep those up for a few days at a time. I'll keep you posted on that. Earlier this week when I did eggs, I just made them up the night before then put it in a ziplock container. I'm hoping these bags might even be easier.

I have a busy day today. We have a big event at work next weekend and I'm trying to get it all prepared.

Happy Weekend Blog Friends!

8 mile run complete....

I did an 8 mile run last night! It was so hot and humid. I think the temp was right around 74 degrees when we started. The sun was out and shining, it was miserable. I drank so much water on that run. I swear we had to make a stop at a local university to fill up our water bottles. I again fueled with the Hammer Gel products. I used Vanilla and it really does taste like icing on a donut. It was recommended by Corinne !

Food is still rockin! I weighed myself this morning and I am glad to say it is moving downward. I am daily weigher! I know, I shouldn't be, but I am. You can't fault me. It helps me stay in check. So I've weighed everyday this week and FINALLY I saw a number going down. I had maintained for several days, but this morning, it was DOWN, DOWN, DOWN!

Yesterday I did have to make few changes in food. I opted for a Pre workout snack. I selected oatmeal. I was feeling a little light headed and I didn't like that feeling. I figured with an 8 mile run approaching I need to fuel up before I went. I was so glad I did, otherwise I think I would've had to quit by mile 3 or 4. I then came home for my dinner of chicken breast, marinara sauce and ww noodles. I also had a small side salad. It was so good.

Tonight I think I'm running again. My schedule has been off a little this week, so I may run back again. However my legs are a little sore this morning. Not only did I do the 8 mile run, but remember on Tuesday I did some of my new Fast and Furious workout that included SQUATS....my least favorite by the way. That on top of 8 miles did me in. I may opt for a nice walk tonight. Will see as the day progresses.

I finished planting my patunias last night. They look okay. The husband thinks it looked half ass. I appreciated that after I planted them after my long run!
He is such a sweetie sometimes! Ha!
I have to somewhat agree, they didn't look great, so I hope they purk up some now that they are planted.

Food for today:
B:Oatmeal, ground flax seed, Banana
S:Protein Bar
L:2 slices sf bread, lf ham, tomato, carrots, apple
S:1/2 pita, hummus
D:Salmon, veggie
S:protein powder/ff yogurt

Exercise:
3 mile run or walk, depending on how my legs feel.

Happy Hump Day!

Yesterday the husband and I started planting some patunias! We didn't get very far, but we plan on continuing tonight. We did work in the flower bed over the weekend. We put out new mulch and did some trimming on a few things. The added putunias will look great. Of course we only bought red and white ones. That would be the husbands idea. His favorite team is red and white!
Things are still going well for me. Not only food, but exercise. I started a new exercise routine called Fast and Furious. It is a routine with some good ST and also HIIT mixed in. It is suppose to burn the fat off. BRING IT ON!

I did two workouts last night just because I missed my Monday workout. They are basically ST routines that last about 20 minutes followed by 20 minutes of an HIIT routine. (High Intensity Training) I am just continuing with my running for now. Once next weekend is over I'll start doing some of the HIIT. Talk about fat burner. It is intense speed stuff. I'm looking forward to it.

I've also really tried hard to focus on food. Last night I really wanted something different for my nightly snack. I put down a protein shake, but opted for some FF yogurt, flax seed, and some banana protein powder. It was decent, so I'll take that.

Here is my food plan for today:
B: FF Yogurt, Raspberries, Ground Flax Seed
S:Protein Bar (Homemade version that I posted yesterday)
L:2 slices sugar free bread, 3 oz of low fat ham, spinach, raw carrots and apple
S: 1/2 pita, hummus, sunflower seeds
D: 1 cup ww noodles, chicken breast, low fat marinara sauce, small side salad
S:Protein shake

Exercise:

Our plan is a longer run of 6-8 miles. Depends on how we are feeling.

Day 2!

Day 1 was a success, now on to Day 2. I did have a few changes in my food, so I'm going to go and edit yesterdays food post. Last night after I got my hair done, got home, ate dinner, packed lunches, it was 8:30. I was so exhausted. I decided not to exercise last night. I felt okay about it because I had exercised all weekend.
Here is the new hair! Same thing as I always do, but I thought I'd share.

Oh, and these are my new running shoes! Sorry to say, these were at a local running store, so it would be impossible to share the deals with all my online blog friends.

Tonight is Biggest Loser! Who do you think will win? I'm not sure yet. I sort of hope Kelly wins, but I would be happy with Ali too! I just think it is time for a women to win the $250,000!

Exercise: I will exercise tonight! New routine, will post about it tomorrow
Food:
B:2 egg whites, 1 egg, spinach, tomato and an orange
S:1/2 ww pita, 2 tbsp hummus, sprinkle of sunflower seeds
L:Salad, grilled chicken, 1 egg, light dressing
S:Protein Bar, Apple
D:SBD Pizza, veggie
S:Protein Shake

Petite Flower asked me about the protein bars. Here is the recipe!

Homemade Protein Bars:
3 ½ c old fashioned oats
1 ½ c powdered non-fat milk
4 scoops low carb chocolate or vanilla protein powder
1 c sugar free maple syrup
2 egg whites, beaten
¼ c orange juice
1 t vanilla
¼ c applesauce (naturally unsweetened)
Directions:
Preheat oven to 325 degrees.
Spray 9x13 baking dish with non-stick spray.
Mix oats. Powdered milk & protein powder. Blend well.
In separate bowl, combine egg whites, maple syrup, oj, applesauce and vanilla, blending well.
Stir liquids into dry mixture until blended. Gets thick so use those muscles
Spread into sprayed baking dish.
Bake about 20 minutes or until edges are crisp and brown.

Servings: 10 bars
Calories Per Serving: 155 cals/15g fat/23g carbs/15g protein/4g fiber

I've made these before with my orange protein powder and I added in dried cranberries. YUM! You would just want to add in the cals for the cranberries. These aren't awesome, but they aren't bad either. I feel better eating these than I do a store bought Marathon Bar or something like that.

Weekend Wrap up:
This weekend our local running store had a huge sale. Running shoes for $15-45 dollars! So, I went to check out the selection. I couldn't pass up a new pair of running shoes especially at $15 dollars. I found a pair for $25.00. I tried to find them online, so you could see what I bought. No such luck, so I'll have to try them on tonight an post a picture. They aren't the cutest, but they are growing on me. They are like a weird blue color all over. Then I also purchased a cute running shirt for $10.00 and a new pair of running socks for $5.00. Overall, I was pleased with the bargains. My friend Julie bought 3 pairs of running shoes and a cute dry fit shirt for $80.00. So as you can tell the deals were awesome.

Finally, the last part of this post is about our finch birds we have. Here is a picture. We probably have about 30 finch birds that feed off our feeders. They are just the neatest little creatures. We've been trying to get a good picture of them for the last few weeks and the husband was finally able to get a few this weekend.

I'm off to heat up my 3 egg omelet. It could either be good or bad....Will see!
Update: Eggs were actually really good! I'll be doing those again! Heating them in the microwave wasn't as bad as I thought it would be.

I almost forgot! Tonight is cut and color for me, so I'll post a picture of my hair do tomorrow as well!

  • Food Prep

Here is my grocery list for the week:
Fat FreeYogurt
Banana's
Frozen Fruit
Egg Whites
Oranges
Skim Milk
Cottage Cheese
Spinach
Tomatoes
Fat Free Cheese
Low Fat Ham
Raw Carrots
Apples
Chicken Breasts for prepping (will probably grill)
FF Cheese
Salad Mix for tons of salad
2 cans of Chick Peas (one for salad toppings one for hummus)
SBD Pizza
Canned Tuna
Salmon
Sweet Potato
Green Beans

This should get me started. Starting Monday I'll post my food plan for the day. I'm making a point of doing this all week.

A few people have asked questions about my trainer. She is an online trainer. She is out of Nashville, TN. If you are a WW person, you can find her on the Fitness Getting Started Boards. She does a daily thread titled "Ask a Trainer". I followed her around and read her blog for a while. A friend of mine (Dawn) signed up last summer after her 2nd child was born. She began telling me all the great things that she was taking part in, so I signed up about a month after her. I've been with PNP since July! I was able to meet Corinne back in December when several of us ran the Las Vegas 1/2 Marathon.

This is the Vegas group...We are all holding Corinne up. You'll see me the second from the right.

So, I'm busting out the tape measure, camera, and the pots and pans this weekend.

Exercise last night was good. I did a 4 mile run. It was so humid though...I was sweatttyyy, when I got home.

Happy weekend!

Thanks!

Wow...thanks to my blog friends I had some great ideas on alternative breakfast ideas. I will try these.

Next week I'm trying something new. In fact it is basically a list of foods my trainer put together. She gives ideas on foods and I'm going to stick to it. For instance, one morning for breakfast instead of oatmeal, I'll have a smoothie with protein powder and fruit or maybe an omelet with spinach, etc. Starting Monday, I'll post my food journal so you can see some of the things I'm eating. It means more prep, but I'm willing to give this a shot. I can exercise till the cows come home, but my main struggle is food. I'm addicted! I just basically eat to maintain right now.

I've got 92 days until my summer vacation and I need to focus hard to shed about 5 lbs. It can be done, but it will take food prep and determination.

I'm also still in running mode. I'll run my next half marathon in a little over 2 weeks. After it is over my exercise is going to change slightly. I'm thinking about doing a routine my trainer put together. I'll give more details on that later. It will be more ST and less cardio. I haven't officially decided, but I'm really giving it serious thought. I think my body is ready for a serious change. Not only food, but exercise. I've been in long distance running mode since August with some Strenth training thrown in. I'm just thinking it may be time to shock my body!

More details on the shock to come!

Oatmeal.....

I'm currently eating my oats....they seem so boring latley. I normally put in fruit with it, just to jazz it up a little. Today I didn't have any fruit so I 'm eating it plain jane. YUCK! I need some new good breakfast ideas. I eat my breakfast at work because I don't want to take the time to do it before I leave the house. Plus I leave at the crack of dawn literally, so the more I can sleep the better. I would love to do eggs, but something about eggs in a microwave TOTALLY grosses me out. I dont' mind boiled eggs, but cold ones for breakfast seem a little nasty.

Anyone have any ideas for breakfast? Even maybe something I can add to my oats for a change?

Biggest Loser-
Hello, what did they do this week? They lost WAY too much weight. How did they do that?
I'm pulling for Kelly! I like Ali and she looks fantastic, but I really want Kelly to win. I think I want Mark to continue on, because I want a women to win it all and if Roger stays, I think he could win.

Last night I did a power walk with my friend Julie. We are still a little sore from Sunday. It actually helped work out the soreness so that was good.

Off to finish my oatmeal....

Running low on energy...

My energy level is down right now. I am still trying to recover from my whirlwind of a weekend. I crammed too many activities in one weekend and now I'm paying for it.

Last night after I got home from work I worked in the yard for a little while. The weather was a sunny 70 degrees, so it was really nice.

I decided to take a DOR yesterday too. I am just worn down. Last night I went to bed at 8:30.

I'm back to posting my exercise and food plans.

Exercise: Short run or walk, depending on how my foot is feeling. I'm still trying to take it easy.
Push Ups, Ab Routine

Food: I have got to make a grocery run...I'm eating anything I can find in my house.
B:Oatmeal, Blackberries, Coffee
S: Fiber One bar
L: Spinach Salad, chicken, light dressing, sprinkle of 2 % cheese
D: Scrambled egg whites, english muffin
S: SF Pudding

I really need to drink my water today too...shooting for 100 oz.

Thanks again for all the lovely comments in my blog. The one nice part of my body is my legs. I just wish I could work on the tummy area more! We all have our problem areas don't we.

Off to do some work......

Hogeye 1/2 Marathon=Complete!

Yesterday was just awesome!

I woke up yesterday morning about 5:30 with some pain in my foot. I was so upset. I was so afraid it was going cause me fits during the race. So, I ate a good breakfast thanks to Dawn and Jeremy and then took 3 asprin.
By the start of the race, I was pain free and feeling fabulous!

This would be us pre race! Julie ( a friend that trained with me), Me, and Dawn (PNP friend)

Another before race photo! This is us waiting for the race to begin.

Here we are along the race. Dawn, Me, Julie (We seem to all be smiling at this point)!

I had to post this picture of Dawn! Woohoo! Mom of 2 on her first 1/2 Marathon!

This picture is funny! We had a running Elvis along the race. He was ahead of us most of the time, not by far, but my husband (Daniel) along with the two other husbands followed us around the entire route taking photos. So we see Elvis on our hardest part of the run! Straight up hill for probably close to a mile. The husband challenged me to run ahead and have my photo taken with Elvis. I busted my rump and did it. Here he is giving the peace sign.
Funny side note...the man in the red. He bascially ran the race right along with us too! He stopped to tinkle every 8 minutes. It was sort of weird! Oh well!
By the way, we beat Elvis!

Here we are finishing the race! We sprinted the last .1 mile or so. We were trying to finish right at 2 hours 30 minutes. I think the final time was 2:30:40.

Dawn and I at the finish!

Here we are kissing our medals.
Special Thanks goes out to my husband Daniel for following me around and documenting the run. This is he and I at the Relay Race we did in March. Stupid me didn't get one with him at the race yesterday! Also special thanks to Dawn's husband Jeremy! He drove the guys around all over Fayetteville to snap photos along the route.

1/2 Marathon #2=Complete! 19 days and counting till the next one.
I'm heading to Nashville, TN for the Country Music 1/2 Marthon at the end of the month!
The end!

Tornado Sirens during the night....

Last night about 11:15 the husband woke me up to tell me the Tornado Sirens were going off. Nothing like be awaken by sirens. Everything was okay and the Tornado never touched down, but they were warning us of rotation. I guess it is better to be safe than sorry. So after about 12:30 I was finally able to go back to sleep.

The Hogeye 1/2 Marathon is in 2 days! I'm ready, just a little nervous about my foot. I am currently on a regimen of Asprin every 3 hours. I've always heard that asprin is a good anti inflamatory, so I'm trying to pop those when I can. I'm also sticking to flip flops and house shoes. Yes, I look cute. In fact the boss yesterday made some comment about my house shoes so I had to explain my injury.

Last night I zipped over to Target to see if I could find me a "cheap" running shirt to wear for the race. I was only looking for a certain color and price. Yes, I am a true bargain shopper. Guess what, I found exactly what I was looking for at $9.99 and then a cute little jacket cover up for $3.49. I was beyond pleased with the results of my shopping adventure.

On Monday I'll post pictures galore. The husband plans on following me around the route and taking photos.

Wish me luck....

Stressed Part 2!

I am stressed!

I am so busy right now at work, my life outside my job is busy, and on top of all of that the 1/2 marathon is in 3 days! I'm feeling very stressed about it.

I have slight discomfort in one of my feet. It is right under my big toe on my right foot. It is almost as if my shoes are rubbing the bone. I did recently get this pair (2 months ago). This is the exact shoe I bought last time because I had no trouble with it. I am trying to rest my foot, not wear any shoes and take it easy. It is okay to run on, but I know I'm pushing it too much.

Then work is beyond hectic.

I've got family in town this weekend and I am heading out of town. It is my cousin and her husband and they are currently going through a rough time in the marriage. They've been separated 3 times now and they are trying to work things out again! My mom wants me to be able to encourage and visit with them, but I don't know when I'll be able too. Then my MIL is really sick with the flu. The husband doesn't call his mom like he should, therefore he didn't know she was so SICK. Then she wants us to come down Friday night to visit with some other family in town. I really don't want to go because she's been sick...UGH If it isn't one thing it is something else. I'm being pulled in abut 500 different directions. I know I am being selfish, but I have had this run/weekend planned for months and all of a sudden everyone wants me to pull through and be at EVERY little event.

My WW meeting today was awesome. They lost some weight! Good amount too. I weighed about 20 people and they lost about 35 pounds! WOW. They rocked this week! I also had a good talk about food triggers and feelings. They even participated. It was by far a huge improvement from last week. I was VERY pleased! They also seem to be warming up to me.

Now, I've got to get some work accomplished!

Last night I did abs and push ups! No running, I have opted to rest from now until the race in hopes I can heal my foot! Wish me luck!

STRESSED.....

  • I scrapbook! I have a big HOG book I did from the 2006 football season and I am currently trying to work on my 2007 book
  • I require lots of sleep and the husband always makes fun of me when I fall asleep at 8:30 sometimes. Bed time is 9 for me.
  • When I was 16, I was robbed at gun point. Very scary!
  • I broke my arm when I was 7 years old. It was several days before Christmas and my parents left us alone upstairs while they wrapped our Christmas presents. My sisters and I were goofing off and the next thing I know I was crying. Mom and Dad didn't really believe me so I sat in agony for several hours. Finally after I ate dinner with my arm up and my head laying on the kitchen table my mom and dad rushed me to the Dr. Next thing I knew I was being rushed to the hospital for surgery. Because my mom made me eat dinner that evening, they had to postpone the surgery for the next day. My mom still to this day feels bad about that. So all during Christmas I had a cast on!
  • I graduated college in 2002. My degree is Communications, as in journalism.
  • While in college I worked as a radio DJ. I even worked full time overnights at one point while going to college full time. Needless to say I was a zombie for that entire year.
  • Finally, last night I had a random dream that I adopted a girl and she was stolen from me. WEIRD?!

Off Work Today!

I am off today helping my sister. Trying to make a little extra cash for savings. The husband and I are on a saving kick right now.
Food and exercise are going great! I'm still sore from Monday's arm work.
Last night I did a 3 mile run, some ab exercises and push ups!
Today will be a 4 mile run with a few ab exercises thrown in, and at least three sets of 15 push ups.
Food? Not sure...Today will be a wing it kind of day. I already started the morning with my oatmeal and water. I'll be back tomorrow with more to say!

I had the husband take a photo of me last night in my sports bra and capri running pants. If I'm brave enough I'll post it. I wasn't just thrilled with the results. Oh well, maybe if I post it, it will keep me motivated for the Operation Bikini Challenge!

Have a great HUMP day!

April 1st Brings New Challenges!

Last night I did ST/Abs. It was arm/chest/back night as well as some other things added in. The PNP challenge for April is a Tummy Toning Challenge. Can you just say right up my alley. I am so wanting to work on my abs. (I am dreaming of some abs like the picture on the left!) So last night after I did my 3 sets of push ups (another PNP challenge), I busted out some Ab work and then my ST routine. Let me just tell you my workout rocked. I don't own a HRM, but I could tell I was burning some cals. I also followed it up with a protein shake. I've been really bad latley about drinking protein shakes. I just can't get on board here recently. I know I need it, so I sucked it up and did it. My favorite is Matrix 5.0 Orange Cream. By far it is my favorite of any protein powders I've tried.

Still moving forward with my Operation Bikini Challenge. The official Florida vacation is at 102 days!
Exercise:
3 Sets of Push Ups (15 each) Trying to do as many as I can on my toes
3-4 Mile Run
Few Ab exercises

Food for today:
B:Oatmeal, Blackberries, Coffee
S:Banana/1 Tbsp. Cashew butter (Oh my! So yummy)
L:Black Bean Burger, Tortilla, Raw Carrots, cheese stick
S:Yogurt/Protein Powder
D:Spinach Salad, chicken, light sprinkle of cheese, light dressing, few sunflower seeds
S: SF Pudding

I have been super hectic at work so far this week. Tomorrow I'm planning on taking off so you may not see a long post from me. I am helping my sister with a catering job. She is a caterer on the side and has a big event during the day. I am a sucker for extra spending money, so I've been working through my lunches all last week and this week so I can take off without using any vacation. Yippee!
5 Days until the 1/2!
